The Central Heritage Restoration Company plans to restore several historical and cultural sites in Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Purple City) in the imperial city of Hue in the near future.

The Hue imperial city has been recognised as a World Heritage site.

To serve the work better, the company, which specialises in the refurbishment of old cultural and fine arts work inside and outside the country, has recently opened a branch in Hue City.

Years ago, the company successfully restored Trieu Temple, Hien Lam Pavilion, Thai Binh fortress and Xuan Nghiem and Du Khiem towers.

Since 2004, the company has been restoring the Truong Sanh Palace (Palace of Longevity) in Tu Cam Thanh. It is expected to be completed in 2007.

The project will include the restoration of Lach Dao Nguyen, the Palace's protective moat, decorative man-made rock formations and mountains, bonsai gardens, and the Palace gate.

The Truong Sanh Palace was the residence of King Tu Duc’s mother, Empress Tu Du, under the Nguyen Dynasty in the 19th century. It has been nearly destroyed by French troops and weather.

The Hue imperial city has been recognised as a World Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
