Chinese musical talent to perform in Hanoi

VietNamNet - "The Art of Piano" is offering up a banquet of classical music, showcasing famous works composed by Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt, Franz Joseph Haydn, Franz Shubert, Federic Chopin and tanDun of China.

Lang Lang, 22, is a member of the world's leading symphony orchestras, namely the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra and the NDR Symphony Orchestra of Hamburg. He is considered one of the best pianists of China.

 

The Teen People newspaper selected Lang Lang as one of the 20 talented youths who could change the world in the future. He is the first Chinese pianist performed with the Berlin Philharmonic and the largest five symphony orchestras (Big Five) of the US. He has won many reputed international prizes, for example the first prize at the 5th Xing Hai Cup piano contest in Beijing, the first prize at the 4th international contest for young pianists in Germany, the first prize for young pianists at the 2nd Tchaikovsky piano contest in Japan.

 

Katherin Chu, who has worked with many of the world’s leading conductors, will conduct the concert, the eighth of its kind.
