Traffic and mobile police officers work in rain in Da Nang

VietNamNet Bridge - On the opening day of the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, the traffic and mobile police forces performed their missions under heavy rain.

Today, the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang begins with the Concluding Senior Officials Meeting (CSOM).

According to Lieutenant General Tran Son Ha, Director of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, despite unfavorable weather caused by storm No. 12, the traffic police force has taken drastic measures to ensure traffic move smoothly and safely.

"We launched our forces on October 15th. Since then, we have been practicing very often. By this time, we have ensured all officials to Da Nang for the CSOM are secured," said Lieutenant General Ha.

In Da Nang, the local police has fully implemented the plans to guide delegations, protect the places of residence of leaders of 21 economies, high-level delegates and venues where activities of the APEC Summit Week 2017 are held.

The coordination between the local police and other forces under the Ministry of Public Security, including the Guard Command, the Mobile Police Department, the General Department of Security, the General Department of Police, the Traffic Police Department and the military has been performed well under the plan.

The Command Center of Da Nang Police has also completed upgrading and connections, through which it can quickly capture all developments at the places where activities of the APEC Summit Week 2017 are held.
