A ceremony to review the program was jointly held on December 27 by Suntory Holdings Limited and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage (SPVB) and Tuong Lai Center of healthcare education and community development.

Students of the “Mizuiku – I love fresh water” program had a chance to take part in training workshops and extra-curriculum activities, including factory visit and environmental protection programs. After two years, the Mizuiku project has hosted 400 classes for over 5,000 students, 16 water festival days for over 7,700 students and 15 fieldtrips to SPVB’s factories for over 1,500 students and the establishment of eight water filter systems and ten restrooms for over 16 schools participating in the program.

Mizuiku is a project with an aim to raise awareness of water resource protection among students, initiated by Suntory Holdings Limited in Japan in 2004. The program has received active response from the community with the participation of over 100,000 students and parents in Japan. Vietnam is the first country besides Japan to be chosen to carry out the project.
