The convention was co-held by the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), the Vietnam National University and the One Asia Foundation to provide a forum for politicians, managers and scientists to share knowledge and experience in promoting common prosperity in Asia.

According to vice chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs, Nguyen Sy Cuong, reports delivered at the event covered a number of today’s pressing issues, notably solutions to climate change and development of communications and science and technology in the era of Industry 4.0.

Some speakers also addressed opportunities and challenges to the future of the Asian Community and other issues related to culture, education, migration, labour movement and win-win solutions to conflicts and disputes, he added.

ULIS Rector Do Minh Tuan said during the event, delegates contributed ideas towards a common goal of maintaining peace, stability and development, and strengthening solidarity and cooperation within the Asian Community.

The One Asia Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in Japan in 2009, aiming to contribute to the establishment of the Asian Community.
