"Gangnam Style" dance competition in Vietnam

 VietNamNet Bridge - Before the whirlwind of the "Gangnam Style" horse dance, which makes up a worldwide craze, the Korean Department of Tourism decided to launch the "Gangnam Style" dance competition in Vietnam.

Recently the Gangnam Style song by Korean singer Psy has become a music phenomenon all over the world. The Korean Department of Tourism office in Hanoi has launched a dance competition covering this "super hot" dance as one of the outstanding events to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea.
The competition is opened for all Vietnamese citizens who love this dance. The event takes place from October 1 to 27. The list of winners will be announced on November 3 before the official performance being held in Keangnam Landmark Garden, Hanoi on November 4, as part of the Festival of Korean Food Culture.

Apart from the dance competition, the audience will also be enjoying the best Korean film at the Korean Film Festival, held at MegaStar Crescent Mall in Ho Chi Minh City (October 18-24) and Megastar Vincom Ha Noi (December 6-18).

Also in a series of activities to commemorate 20 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, which take place from October to December 2012, there will have many music programs.

The first program is “We Are Friends: Sumi Jo Concert” with the participation of Korea's top opera singer Sumi Jo, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and singer Duc Tuan, at the Hanoi Friendship Culture Palace on October 27-28/.

The show celebrating 20 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and South Korea, will take place from December 10 - 11 at the Hanoi Opera House and the Quan Ngua Stadium. In particular, this event will have the participation of the Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Night of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship will be held in December, with the participation of F-sharp trio (South Korea), the Tuxedo & Aodai, LYNT, St.319 bands, singer Thuy Chi (Vietnam), etc. will be the closing event of the cultural activities celebrating 20 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In parallel to art activities, the Korean Language Festival, the 2nd Ambassador Taekwondo Cup  will also take place with many interesting activities.
