40,000 families amid Hanoi live without water for several days
VietNamNet Bridge – The water supply company failed to make the commitment of resuming water supply for 40,000 households in Hanoi’s southwestern districts on February 7.

Water supply to return to 40,000 homes today

Until February 7 evening, thousands of families had to ask for water from their offices, their neighbors and their relatives and carried water home by buckets, bottles, etc.

Without water for four days, many families had to “evacuate”. Some schools had to close.

Nguyen An Viet, director of the Clean Water Supply JS Company (Viwaco), told a local newspaper that from February 7 evening and February 8 morning, water supply would be resumed.

Viet said that around 90,000 clients of Viwaco were affected after a water pipe from the Da River in northern Hoa Binh Province broke.
