Danish crown prince sees Vietnamese kids drawing
VietNamNet Bridge – During his time in HCM City, Danish crown prince Frederik Andre Henrik Christian and his escorts dropped in the General Library to see Vietnamese children. He saw kids drawing and talked with them.

The prince arrived at the library at noon of November 30. He was warmly welcomed.
The prince was very friendly and easy-going.,

He saw children in the library’s reading room for kids.

The prince is the father of four children, including the eldest son of six years old and the
youngest twins of 11 months old. Talking with Vietnamese children, he said he always
encourages his children to read. He likes stories by Andersen, which are suitable
for not only kids but also adults.

After a short speech, the prince sat down to talk with kids.

He saw children drawing characters in stories by Andersen like the one-legged lead
soldier, swans, the ugly duck and the mermaid. He asked kids why they
chose this color or drew that way…

On this occasion, the book “Popo looks for friends”, the latest work in the series of books in
the Denmark-funded project to publish books for Vietnamese children, was released.

The prince colored a painting with kids. He asked a child who was drawing an air
conditioner in a painting featuring the life on the Mars: “why do you draw this
air conditioner here?” The kid answered: “Because the Mars is very hot.” When
another kid asked him: “IS your house  luxurious as the castle in Andersen’s stories?”
The prince smiled and said that his house does not look like that.

“I like the prince very much. He is handsome and has sweet voice. He is also very gentle,”
said Trinh Minh Khoi, a fifth grade student from the Viet My primary school in Binh Thanh district.

Before leaving the library, the prince took a photo with Vietnamese kids.

Earlier, the prince spent two days in Hanoi to participate in many environment-related events.

The prince shook hands with poet Cao Xuan Son, director of the Kim Dong publishing house in HCM City.

At the age of 43, the prince looks young, handsome and very smart.
He married an Australian woman in 2004.  The couple was voted as the most romantic couple in the world.
