Bridge - The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has announced that it will hold a social referendum on syllabi and textbooks. Valuable ideas will receive awards.

Typical mistakes currently found in textbooks published by the Education Publisher include knowledge content, dictation, marks, figures, ways of expression, inexact style and quotation, term translation mistakes, and different information among books.

People can propose detailed measures and ways of correction. They can also suggest a paragraph, a part of a subject or even a lesson in a book for MoET to reconsider.

MoET has assigned the Department of Information Technology to organize the forum.

The Education Publisher, the Departments of Primary Education and Secondary Education, the Vietnam Education Science Institute and various groups of authors are responsible for acquiring, exchanging and giving feedback to ideas on the forum.

Feedback must be given in 20 days. Special cases which need more time must have approval from MoET leaders.

If necessary, the Department of Information Technology can co-ordinate with the Education Publisher and related agencies in order to organize online seminars and collect ideas at http://hop.edu.net.vn/sgk.

Previously, MoE assigned the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association to collect ideas on syllabi and textbooks for all subjects. However, because of limited time, the union could only gave an initial assessment.

All individuals, organization, educators, managers, scientists and pupils can raise their ideas at the forum at http://diendan.edu.net.vn or they can send them by email at gopyGK@moet.edu.vn.
