VietNamNet Bridge - A seminar on post-graduate scientific research cooperation between a number of universities from Italy and Vietnam will be held in Turin city, Italia from March 7-13.

Vietnamese ambassador to Italy Nguyen Van Nam had a working session with Fernada Negro, representative of the Turin University on February 5 on preparations for the seminar, during the diplomat’s visit to Turin city in northern Piemonte region.

The seminar will help identify areas of scientific cooperation between universities in Piemonte region, Vietnamese universities, Vietnamese Health Ministry and the Viet Nam-German Hospital under an agreement signed between the two sides during the Viet Nam visit by the Rector of the Turin University in 2007.

Fernada Negro informed ambassador Nam of her university’s decision to give scholarships to 4-5 Vietnamese government employees to study in the university.

Ambassador Nam also met with Sandra Scagliotti, Director of the Viet Nam Study Centre on preparation for the establishment of a Vietnamese honourary consulate office in Turin to promote friendship and cooperation between Piemonte region and Viet Nam.
