An industrial park

VietNamNet Bridge - The Ministry of Education and Training is considering building pre-schools in industrial parks.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who is also Education and Training Minister, mentioned the plan at a recent meeting with leaders of eight southwestern provinces.

Minimum training standards would be set out for those who take care of children. The move is in response to the proposal by eight localities to independently develop public pre-schools with their own budgets.

Recent incidents of abuse at non-State and private pre-schools have created concern about the quality of caretakers.
