Nhan emphasized that the province’s mission was to develop its economy while protecting the country. Dealing with illegal trafficking should therefore factor in profits to local enterprises as well as local living standards.

On the same day, Nhan attended a meeting on the Two No’s Campaign, which aims to improve education quality in the province, where the number of ethnic minority pupils dropping classes is still high and the teacher qualification remains low.

Nhan said that the improvement in education required the participation of parents, students, schools, local authorities and the Government. He urged the province to combine schooling with vocational training while also improving the quality of ethnic minority boarding schools.
