VietNamNet Bridge - The customer-relationship management company Edge Marketing announced yesterday the acquisition of New Media, a leading internet and digital agency in Thailand and Viet Nam at an undisclosed price.

The acquisition creates a unique agency, New Media Edge, which offers a powerful combination of digital advertising with CRM marketing in Thailand, Viet Nam and Singapore, according to Patrick Pitcher, chairman of the Edge Group, and former CEO of Saatchi&Saatchi Asia-Pacific and Africa.

"This new combination of CRM and internet marketing is exactly what marketers are looking for, giving them a powerful tool that can identify prospects on the internet, create loyalty for their brands and drive sales," Patrick said.

"Right now in the midst of the worldwide financial crisis, clients are desperate for more measurable results and accountability for their spend. It’s all about ROI (return on invested capital)," he added.

New Media, founded in 2005 in Thailand, is a leading online marketing, creative, media and search services agency in Thailand and Viet Nam with prominent local and international brands such as Citibank, Pepsi, Microsoft, Thai Airways, Samsung, Land&Houses and Olympus.

Edge Marketing, founded in 2004 in Viet Nam, with offices in HCM City, Ha Noi and Singapore, specialises in creating integrated CRM-based marketing programs for blue-chip clients like Diageo (Johnnie Walker), Mead Johnson, Kronenbourg 1664, Prudential Finance, Orion Foods and Acer computers.

The group includes Edge Marketing, a CRM-focused marketing agency, and Pivotal, a supplier of marketing services including call centers and mail fulfilment.
