ACMECS business forum to take place in Hanoi

VietNamNet Bridge – A business forum of the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) and dialogue between ACMECS leaders and the business community will be held in Hanoi on Nov. 7 as part of the ACMECS summit.

According to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the first ACMECS business forum aims to create an opportunity for regional businesses to discuss and present proposal and initiatives to facilitate their trade, investment and tourist activities and promote economic cooperation.

All proposals and initiatives presented at the forum will be reported to the five prime ministers of the ACMECS countries - Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam - at the dialogue.

About 400 businesses from ACMECS countries, international organisations and major investors from Japan, the Republic of Korea, the EU and the US are expected to attend the forum.
