VietNamNet Bridge - Around 260 businesses are joining in a Trade Villages Exhibition and Vietnam Handicraft Products Competition 2006 which opened yesterday at the Vietnam Agriculture Exhibition and Marketing Centre in Hanoi.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Bach Quoc Khang, Head of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, head of the exhibition’s organising board, said the exhibition, themed “Vietnamese handicraft products on its way of WTO’s integration,” was an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese handicrafts to international friends, especially to APEC guests.
During the exhibition, which lasts until November 15, there will be conferences preserving and developing traditional trade villages; e-commerce applications for the exports of fine arts and handicraft products; and rural young people with development of traditional trades.
The exhibition organisers will also present awards to winning products within the Vietnamese handicraft products competition 2006 which attracted 520 products from localities throughout the country.
These fine arts and handicrafts of high creativity, good designs and high export capability are on shown at the exhibition.
