Nha Trang kicks off celebration of self

VietNamNet – In recognition of Nha Trang Bay joining the Club of the World’s Best Bays, Khanh Hoa Province has launched the “August – Nha Trang – Rendezvous” programme to showcase Khanh Hoa’s landscape and people.

Under the programme, new tours have been unveiled such as tours to Dao Yen (Swallow Island) and Nha Phu Lagoon, eco-tours to Hon Mun, Song Cai – Nha Trang and Following Dr. Yersin’s Footsteps tour. In addition, during the month, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and Trade will organise fairs, exhibitions, folk games, sporting events and contests.

According to Tran Son Hai, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and Trade, to keep room and service prices stable this month, the provincial department will work with related agencies such as the departments of planning and investment, transport, science-technology and environment, physical education and sports, culture-information, public securities, and national defence policies to guide and inspect tourism service providers to ensure proper observance of State regulations.

The provincial Department of Tourism and Trade has also combined with related bodies to draft and submit to the provincial People’s Committee documents on the management of marine sports and amusement activities, management of tourism activities at Nha Trang Port, and a programme to prevent drug abuse, theft and begging to protect tourists.

Khanh Hoa is a coastal province in the southern part of the central region. It has a coastline of 385km. Along its coast are many bays, their beaches boasting beautiful white sand. Khanh Hoa’s mountains are not high but provide a majestic backdrop, and are flowing with wonderful waterfalls. The province has four main bays, Van Phong, Nha Phu, Nha Trang and Cam Ranh, which can berth, cruise ships. Nha Trang Bay has just been admitted as the 29th member of the Club of the World’s Best Bays.
