Vietnam delivers more than 1,200 spam emails/day

VietNamNet Bridge – Panda Security has released its quarterly report on global network security. Vietnam is among the top ten countries delivering spam emails in the world.

 

 

According to Panda, around 43,000 spam emails were daily sent on average in the first quarter of 2009. The highest number of spam emails that Panda recorded within a day is up to 68,000.

 

Accounting for 2.84%, more than 1,200 spam emails were sent from Vietnam each day. Vietnam ranked the 9th in the top ten countries delivering spam emails in the world. The US and Brazil topped the list, with 11.61% and 11.5%.

 

The most dangerous virus in the first quarter of 2009 were Conficker and Waledac.

 

The two most serious security gaps were the two gaps that were discovered and mended by Microsoft in early 2009.
