VietNamNet Bridge – The Health Ministry sent a dispatch directing the local Department of Health to tighten control of clinics that employ Chinese medical practitioners on November 6 after the HCM City Department of Health discovered violations at some clinics in the city.

Many eastern medicine clinics use materials without origin.

On November 5-6, the HCM City Department of Health inspected found violations at six clinics with Chinese doctors in Districts 5,6 and Tan Binh.

Violations included hiring Chinese eastern medicine doctors without registering with the authorities, selling medicines without labels, poor hygiene, and false advertising about services and medicines.

Recently many clinics practicing eastern medicine have falsely advertised that they can cure many incurable diseases and charge patients high fees.

According to the Health Ministry’s guidance, provincial and municipal Health Departments are responsible for licensing Chinese doctors in Vietnam. These departments were ordered to check the licenses and legal records of eastern medicine clinics.
