VietNamNet Bridge – One Dalat painter and fan of late composer Trinh Cong Son, Pham Mui, has turned Trinh Cong Son’s songs into paintings.

Trinh Cong Son’s Commemoration Gallery opened in Alley No. 133, Thai Ha Street in Hanoi in September 2004 with 63 paintings, the age of the late composer.

Trinh Cong Son’s songs like “Cat Bui”, “Mot Coi Di Ve”, “Nhu Canh Vac Bay”, “Nhin Nhung Mua Thu Di”, “Bien Nho”, “Ha Trang”, Nho Mua Thu Ha Noi, “Diem Xua”, and “Hoa Vang May Do,” among others, were depicted by Pham Mui in paintings of the same names.

Pham Mui will introduce more paintings based on Trinh Cong Son’s music in Dalat, HCM City and some southern provinces in an exhibition entitled “Trinh’s Soul”.

Trinh Cong Son (February 28, 1939 – April 1, 2001) was a composer, musician, painter and songwriter. Along with Pham Duy and Van Cao, Trunh Cong Son is widely considered as one of the three most salient figures in modern Vietnamese music. Trinh Cong Son wrote over 600 songs during his lifetime.
